Summit College was founded in 1991 in Colton, California and was approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education in 1992. Two years later, the College received National Accreditation from ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training). With the new accreditation, Summit College began offering students the opportunity to receive federal financial aid and Title IV benefits. In 2003 Summit opened a second campus in Anaheim, California.

Summit College is proud to offer an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program which has been accredited since 1995 by the Bureau of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians. Today, Summit College has one of the largest Licensed Vocational Nursing programs in the state.

Summit College was awarded the "best of the best" award for the best Career College from the Sun Daily Readers Choice Awards in 2014.

Summit College is proud to offer an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program which has been accredited since 1995 by the Bureau of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians. Today, Summit College has one of the largest Licensed Vocational Nursing programs in the state. Due to the speed of completion for the LVN program, many choose the program as an alternative to the longer, traditional nursing programs.
