• Administrative Health Care Management (Associate)
  This program provides in-depth training for the front office position of a busy medical practice or facility. Hands-on experience and classroom instruction include the study of office management, patient record-keeping, bookkeeping and accounting, and professional communication.
• Administrative Office Professional (Associate)
  SJVC’s Administrative Office Professional program offers well-rounded training in business procedures, practices and computer skills, with an emphasis on Human Resources Administration. You can have an exciting career using a variety of computer applications.
• Business Administration (Associate)
  SJVC’s Business Administration program provides a framework of office procedures and skills that can adapt to any company’s operation. Students develop into knowledgeable, ethical and technologically competent business professionals. You learn to organize and manage work tasks, sales and management techniques, general office procedures, as well as many computer applications.
• Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting (Associate)
  SJVC’s Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting (CAMA) program trains you in both administrative and clinical medical procedures for medical offices and specialty clinics. A Medical Assistant is a professional, multiskilled member of the health care team who is dedicated to assisting in patient care.
• Clinical Medical Assisting (Associate)
  The Clinical Medical Assisting program at SJVC offers extensive back office training to provide support to physicians and direct patient care in a variety of medical settings. Training includes a balance of classroom instruction with laboratory experience to create the best opportunity for student understanding and performance.
• Computer Support Technology (Associate)
  SJVC’s Computer Support Technology (CST) program gives you computer systems training in hardware and software applications, as well as trouble-shooting skills. The focus is on computer hardware, Microsoft Office software, applications, and customer support.
• Criminal Justice: Corrections (Associate)
  SJVC’s Corrections program stretches beyond the minimum training required by law with an in depth combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience. Coursework includes criminal law, evidence collection and preservation, report writing and criminal procedures.
• Dental Assisting (Associate)
  SJVC’s Dental Assisting program trains you in all aspects of working with a dentist, including patient care, office and laboratory duties. Our balance of hands-on experience with classroom instruction covers all aspects of dental assisting skills and related theory. Whether you use your dental assisting training for a career chairside or in an administrative capacity, you are well prepared at the program’s completion.
• Dental Hygiene (Associate)
  SJVC’s Dental Hygiene program provides you with solid academic and clinical skills necessary to secure licensure and take your place in the elite world of dental hygienists. Initially, training is classroom study and lectures and clinical instruction is gradually introduced as students become more knowledgeable.
• Electronic Engineering Technology (Associate)
  SJVC’s Electronic Engineering Technology program provides an in-depth study and analysis of the technical aspects of applied electronics technology. Our hands-on training focuses on circuit trouble-shooting and analysis, as well as advanced concepts including surface mount technology, microprocessor technology and computer aided electronic design.
• Emergency Services and Safety Management (Associate)
  Our Emergency Services and Safety Management (ESSM) program opens the doors to a world of security systems for the protection of individuals, businesses, organizations, and properties. Training includes guidelines for Cal/OSHA compliance, techniques to identify and control assault behavior in the workplace and risk management.
• Health Care Administration (Associate)
  SJVC’s Health Care Administration program gives you the expert training you need to perform front office duties in a health care setting. Course studies include office management, medical terminology, patient record keeping, bookkeeping, accounting, insurance claims preparation, professional communication and general operation of a health care facility. Computer training using Microsoft Office and Medical Manager.
• Health Care Insurance Specialist (Associate)
  SJVC’s Health Care Insurance Specialist program prepares you to process health claims, provide insurance coding, keep patient records and manage a medical office, using a variety of health care insurance principles and computer applications. Training includes specialized courses in the international classification of diseases, current procedural terminology and legal issues in health insurance.
• Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Associate)
  This program at SJVC prepares you for year-round job security in a high-demand field. Training focuses on theories of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning. Students study the operation, maintenance and repair of residential and commercial equipment.
• Human Resource Administration (Associate)
  SJVC’s Human Resource Administration program offers training in the procedures, policies and practices found in today’s human resource departments. Our students develop personal, professional and human relations skills necessary to perform the duties of a human resource administrator.

  SJVC’s Licensed Vocational Nursing program gives you the skill and knowledge to offer professional care to the sick, injured, convalescent and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. LVNs are an important part of a health care team responsible for detecting illnesses, medical treatment and rehabilitation, as well as patient education.
• Pharmacy Technology (Associate)
  SJVC’s Pharmacy Technology program prepares you to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist as part of a team responsible for carrying out a doctor’s pharmaceutical orders. Pharmacy Technicians assist in the various activities of compounding, distributing and dispensing of medications.
• Physician Assistant (Associate)
  SJVC’s Physician Assistant graduates are health professionals qualified by academic and clinical training to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician. PAs gather and evaluate medical data and participate in the process of clinical decision-making, diagnosis, and therapeutic management.
• Respiratory Therapy (Associate)
  SJVC’s Respiratory Therapy program prepares you to be a member of an elite health care team that evaluates, treats and manages patients with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders. In addition to performing respiratory care procedures, respiratory therapists are involved in clinical decision-making and patient education.
• Surgical Technology (Associate)
  Our Surgical Technology program prepares you to be an integral part of a medical team whose responsibility it is to exercise precise and harmonious procedures and practices in an operating room environment. Surgical technologists work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other surgical personnel to deliver the highest level of patient care.

  Our Veterinary Technology program gives you the skills you need to devote your life’s work to helping animals when they most need it. This in-depth training covers all areas of animal patient care, from lab tests to radiology procedures and surgical assisting. Curriculum also focuses on communication skills involving pet owner education and counseling for the care of sick animals, as well as preventive measures.
